Welcome to our website.
The BSI program seeks to intervene with students who are identified as being at early risk of leaving school early, who are between the ages of 14-16. Specifically, BSI’s goal is to work with these students using proven methodologies to help them acknowledge and realize their strengths and envision how with those strengths they can meaningfully contribute to their own lives, their community and the greater society. Unique to this 24-hour course is the thoughtful integration of strength, passion and values identification and the training in the design thinking process to provide students an early-life experience in using their uniqueness as they develop creative and entrepreneurial skills.
This website is prepared to help both the trained facilitators* to continue working within their schools to offer additional BSI courses as well as to help other facilitators in the future.
To do so this website will provide:
• A full description of each of the three-hour workshops, including aims and objectives
• Instructions for implementing the exercises and tools used in BSI
• All the templates and slides needed to conduct the course
The development of the course, pilot, handbook, and training of new instructors is overseen by specialists at NORTH Consulting, a small non-profit educational and consulting company in Reykjavik, Iceland.* ThE project is supported by the Erasmus+ Programme.
